Week 4: Movie camera angle review

The first scene starts off with an establishing shot of the beach. This shot appeals to the viewers with a calm, cool, and chill vibe, making them feel the relaxation of the waves and as if they were present to feel the cool breeze as the camera moves by.

This close up shot is the shot that causes everyone to start questioning what is going on, on the island and is it safe for people to be there. With a bitten off arm and the fact that they are completely surrounded by water, some of the staff at the beach retreat start to think that a shark is the cause of their problems while the owner is in denial because he fears he might lose money.

In this two shot, it shows two of the main characters are shown having an argument with the owner because he doesn’t want the people on the beach to be aware of the crazy thing that has been happening and how people are mysteriously going missing and getting harmed. This causes tension in the audience, as they watch and see how they go about trying to solve their problems and the boss possible risking people's lives.

This head-on shot is where everyone’s prediction was proven that a shark was the cause of their problems creating a mass panic all over the beach. In this shot, the owner finally sees how serious the situation is after which he starts trying to prove to prove to everyone he really cares, and the audience is greeted with a shock of fear as the shark jumps out of the water to great his new meal.

This is the point of view shot of the shark as it watches its prey, giving the audience an anxious feeling as it slowly moves in to devour them. This provokes the audience with a tense, fearful, uneasy sensation as the shark moves closer and jumping out of their seats frighten as the shark goes in for the kill.

In this scene, two subjects are shown running away from a mob of people that were infected by the toxic shark, these were people that were either bitten but not killed by the toxic shark or by someone that was already infected. This gives the audience a feeling that to escape this island, you would have to be very skilled to get away from infected people as well as the shark without getting even a scratch

This is a high angle shot in the final scene of the movie showing the subjects trapped on a boat without a working motor, isolated in the water down below as they think of ways to kill the shark and leave successfully. This scene leaves the audience wondering if they’ll make it off that boat and is this where they will die after all the effort they have put in to reach that far, in which to make the character’s victory seem more rewardable in the end.
